Lets mix it up.
MixMaster, along with the other Constructicons seem to be a little bit of everywhere at the end of the film. But now one of then can be in your hands. Errr, that sounded dirty
The famous Constructicons made their big blockbuster debut in Revenge of the Fallen, but there seemed to be some editing glitches during the epic final battle. Multiple Constructicons were involved in the fire-fight against the Autobots while Devastator was already fully formed and wrecking one of the pyramids. Also, Demolisher was killed within the first 10 minutes of the film, but he re-appeared at the end to help form Devastator. Maybe Mr. Bay should’a slowed down a bit and not rushed the film’s story right thought to the end.
-Cement mixer mode-
MixMaster is a Mack truck cement mixer.Duhh.
More fun than any cement mixer should be.
Hey Mix, putting a huge Decepticon emblem on your side doesn’t help your disguise much.
Dang, too bad the toy doesn’t have the hood ornament from the movie. It was so frikk’n cool.
A nice little detail with the fold-down cement funnel. It would be cool if the mixer actually turned, but I understand why it doesn’t.
The Constructicons are starting come together, can’t wait for Heavyload. Too bad Demolisher is a pass.
-Transformation-
MixMaster’s transformation is a real handful. It was difficult to keep it in the frame. I try to demonstrate the alternate arm transformation, but it gets a little fumbly.
(Star came to me “You is you help” they need.)
-Bot mode-
Nice bot mode, but it dose suffer from some kibble issues.
I transform the arms differently on mine. I think it adds some height to the robot mode.
The cannon is for his crummy “cannon mode”, it was so crummy I didn’t bother with a photo of it. Also the front-end kibble really limits the legs movement.
The detail could be sharper on his face.
This is how the arms are suppose to be transformed, but they look way stupid like that and they don’t stay up for long.
-Score-
AESTHETICS:3 -Cool looking Decepticon. Some kibble issues. I recommend using the alternate arm transformation. QUALITY:3 -Loose joints in the arms, and the mixer panels are prone to pop-off’s. POSEABILITY:2.5 -Too many joints in the arms makes poseing them a nightmare, especially when many of the joints are too loose to hold the pose. Legs are restricted by the large front-end kibble. TRANSFORMATION:5 -Very complicated transformation, Mix dose a lot of condensing and contortion to fit inside that cement mixer mode. FEATURES:2.5 -Spring loaded rocket launcher. Lame cannon mode. OVERALL:3 -While I do like this toy, it could stand a bit less kibble on the back. I would gladly trade that cannon for some more transformation of the front-end. The arms are squirrely to deal with, so again, I recommend the alternate transformation.-Tom.B
