Skids’ marks
Wow, another Chevy car Transformer. Don’t the Autobots know that GM is in the crapper right now?
Skids and he equally deformed brother Mudflap, are here to bring some much UN-wanted comic relief to Revenge of the Fallen. To make them act goofy and stupid is one thing, but to design them with such fugly faces will just cause an epidemic of face-palming among the audience. There like the robot counterparts of Jar Jar Binks.
-Vehicle-
Skids is a concept car for a sub compact called “Chevy Beat”. Rightly named too, cuz that what you deserve to get if you buy the car.
The custom paint looks like poop skid marks. I think that’s how he got his name.
Wow, it’s kinda like look’n at a lemon and lime soda, only with wheels.
-Transformation-
For such a small DX, he takes a bit of work to transform.
-Bot mode-
Just what Transformers needed, an idiotic bucktoothed Jar Jar bot.
That’s a big right arm ya got there buddy. Spend a lot of Friday nights at home alone I take it?
One tooth is gold, the other is silver. Wait, why do robots even need teeth?

The figure is very top heavy and the knees are weak, so posing is problematic.
Skids is a very small figure for a DX class.
-Score-
AESTHETICS: 3.5 -Robot mode is very close to his on screen self, but that’s not really saying much. The car mode looks ok. It would look better in different colors, with a different head. Knowing how much Hasbro loves the repaints, It’s a good bet it will happen. QUALITY: 3 -Nothing falls off, but the knees are really weak. POSEABILITY: 3 -Arms can move around alright, the large right hand can even open a little bit. The legs are articulated, but they aren’t strong enough to support many poses. TRANSFORMATION: 4.5 -Skids scores well here. He actually is a bit of a handful during his transformation. FEATURES: 2.5 -Push in on the front grill to make his chest plates move and his head nod. Spring loaded punch hand. OVERALL: 3.5 -If the head and colors weren’t so ugly this could be a decent toy. It’s got a great transformation. But why buckteeth? That just seems like a completely unnecessary design element. I guess it’s to emphasize “he’s stupid”. I do hope he gets a better head if an when he’s repainted.-Tom.B
